i have always loved tattoos. they are beautiful, wonderful unique pieces of art.

excuse the foot puffiness!

i got this tattoo for lilly (my dog, for those of you who don't know yet) last summer. yes, i got a tattoo for my dog. lil is honestly my best friend. her and i have a bond that i've never had with an animal. she's the first pet i've owned as an adult (with the exception of fish and a hamster - rest in peace, muffin) and i love her more than words. she is also special to me because i own her with randy and there are so many memories we have made as a little family that i will cherish forever. i would honestly do anything for lil. i will always love lilly and she will be forever in my heart and on my foot. not to mention she loves licking my feet, so the placement is appropriate.

on another note:

i've lost 2 and a half pounds this week! part of me is super proud of myself, the other part is still a little worried about making my goal, but i need to stay positive. at this rate, i need to lose a little less than a pound and a half per week to meet my goal, which is really do-able.
