on another note, i have decided to lose 12 pounds by may 21. randy and i are going to a friend's wedding and then are spending the following week in northern california, so i think it's good motivation to be healthier. i will keep you all posted on my progress!

this is one of my favorite quotes. there is another version that substitutes "happiness" for "life" that i love equally as much.

for as much as i love it, i don't remind myself of its message often enough. sometimes i get too caught up in being happy and being fulfilled and being where i think i ought to be in the scheme of things. but lately i've happily been realizing that it's all about the ride. and the ride has been pretty good the past couple of weeks.
